POSITONS AVAILABLE
A Business Development Manager is responsible for securing, growing and managing sales and business relationships in both new and existing accounts through the development and execution of a comprehensive account capture and retention strategy.
The Business Development Manager also serves as the primary facilitator between the customer and all operational departments to ensure total customer satisfaction. Other duties and responsibilities include: |
- Aggressively prospect and close business opportunities.
- Work with potential customers and operations to develop, propose, and sell the appropriate solution, meeting or exceeding the needs of the customer.
- Understand and effectively communicate the services we provide and the explain terms and conditions of service to customers and prospects.
- Create, maintain, and provide effective, accurate, and timely sales forecasts and funnel information.
- Work with other individuals and departments within Routes in a team-oriented fashion, supporting a unified approach to delivering customer solutions.
- Individual lead qualifying, cold calling, prospecting, account planning, account management, and sales forecasting.
- Assist other account executives in team sales cycle processes and respond to customer/prospect requests for information and/or services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers by entertaining in a social setting.

- Post secondary education preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- 3 - 6 years of experience in transportation.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience and or training in sales, account management and relationship building.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry, modes of transport and technologies.
- Valid drivers license and current passport.
- Able to work evenings and weekends.
- Able to travel overnight.
